La International Police Association se compromete a:

Promover el RESPETO de la Ley y el Orden entre todas las policías de las Secciones Nacionales que integran la Asociación.
Desarrollar las ACTIVIDADES SOCIALES y CULTURALES y apoyar el intercambio de experiencias PROFESIONALES.
Mejorar la imagen de la policía en los países de las diferentes Secciones Nacionales y ayudar a MEJORAR LAS RELACIONES ENTRE LA POLICÍA Y LA SOCIEDAD.
Crear PROGRAMAS EDUCATIVOS de temas relacionados con la profesión para satisfacer las necesidades y las inquietudes de los socios.
Fomentar los CONTACTOS PERSONALES/PROFESIONALES organizando visitas e intercambios de individuos o grupos, concertando vacaciones de grupos e iniciando amistades.
FOMENTAR LOS INTERCAMBIOS DE JUVENTUD y los encuentros internacionales de jóvenes con miras a PROMOVER una mayor tolerancia y compresión entre las personas, y el conocimiento del trabajo policial.
Facilitar un intercambio regular de publicaciones entre Secciones Nacionales y proveer un servicio de información para las publicaciones nacionales de la IPA que contengan noticias sobre cualquier asunto de relevancia para la Asociación.
Promover publicaciones internacionales y ayudar a preparar bibliografías de trabajos policiales, y donde sea posible, de cualquier trabajo conectado con la ley o asuntos legales.
Facilitar la COOPERACION INTERNACIONAL a través de contactos amistosos entre policías de todos los continentes y contribuir a la comprensión mutua de los problemas profesionales.
